The Great Glen (Glen is the Scottish word for Valley) this the biggest Glen that runs from Fort William in the South to Inverness in the north and is approximately 70 miles in length. This walk which starts in Fort William and follows the path along the Caledonian Canal, then up the side of Loch Lochy, Loch Oig, and then Loch Ness to join the Caledonian Canal once more as you enter Inverness. It is normally walked over a Five Day period. The Roy Bridge Hotel is an Ideal Base if you are interested in doing this walk, we can arrange transportation to and from the Hotel.
